The Chapters of Your Life

2 Corinthians 5:17 says” Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come.

Did you know that every person on the face of this earth is an author? Yes, that is correct. Our very lives are chapters of stories. The good the bad and the ugly are our original stories.

A few bad chapters do not mean that your story is over. In each of our lives we all go through different stages of growth, and each phase of the growth we learn something new.

But getting to that next chapter in our lives is not easy, it comes with many different elements from disappointments to bad choices. In the back of our minds, we are asking what we could have done or should have done differently.

We cannot remain in that same chapter forever. We must keep writing our story. The ashes that are a part of our lives should never be frowned upon because the Lord uses those ashes to bring us to a new chapter in our lives.

We all have stories that need to be told and no one else can tell your story better than you.

Have a great Friday!

I enjoy your thoughts and insights that are biblically based in truth! I’m 64 and about to embark on a new chapter in my life, and I am already feeling blessed as the Lord has prepared the path for me and my husband! God’s mercy and grace allows us to move forward from our past transgressions (sins) and bad choices (learning from them) and opens new doors to go through…in His time and by His will!

Barb that is beautiful testimony. You and your husband sharing in this new chapter of your lives is truly a blessing.

I love when God prepares His people. He does it with such grace and mercy. I know the both of you can hardly wait to see what else the Lord will be adding to your story.
Again, thank you for sharing your story. We serve an AMAZING GOD!

Amen! If anything we can allow it to build character when we turn it over to God in His graciousness. I have had a few or more not so great chapters, just as so many of the best of the Bible. Their stories are beautiful, and mine has been too! He always Has our best at heart! For that I am eternally grateful. I live in His will not mine today!

I agree with you Lisa. It does build character. Thank you for sharing.

That’s right. I am grateful to God for making all, the heartaches, the failures, pains, the little successes, and disappointment to work well for my good. I am don’t look like what I went through because He was with me through it all. Thank you for reiterating this. No one can tell my story like I would. Have a lovely weekend Sister.
