When God Blocks It

Proverbs 30:5 Every word of God proves true; he is a shield to those who take refuge in him.

I Desiray am so grateful for God blocking those things in  my life.

How do you respond when God blocks something for you? As Christians we only see what we want to see when it comes to what we want. How come we do not see the blessing of not having something? I have to say that serving the Lord, I have experienced times when God has blocked it.

At those moments it may seem to us that God is delayed. But honestly folks He is not delaying anything from us. What He has done was blocked it from harming us.

What if God showed you in one day everything that He blocked to protect you. God is constantly watching over us. While you and I are not aware of the dangers that surround us, but God sees it and so He blocks it.

I have made up my mind years ago to accept God’s best for my life. Over the years the Lord has done great and mighty things in my life. He has closed some doors, He has said no to me, He has said, ” not now” and He has blocked somethings.

Through it all I have grown and matured in my relationship with Jesus. I trust only God Almighty with my life.

I can remember a time when I wanted this promotion at work. I prayed about it I worked so hard took on extra responsibilities. I pushed myself so hard in my workload that when I had my evaluation my supervisor informed me of how she was pleased with my metric scores.

I just knew I had that promotion. Well needless to say that I never got that promotion it was given to another employee in my group. I was so disappointed and hurt because the person they gave it to was only on our team for a few months.

After I got over the hurt God showed me that the promotion was never for me. After seeing the events after that person received the promotion, I thank God that He did not let me have it.

The Lord always has His children back.

Thank you Grace for sharing that. There is no other God like our God. He loves His children and He provides for them. And because He loves us He will not let anything destroy us. Including the very thing we want so bad.

    Thanks for stopping in.

I like the closed doors, the “no” answers, the delays, and the interruptions that have been placed in front of me…2019 my husband of 43 years got sober, 2 months later I was diagnosed with invasive lobular carcinoma…these 2 events intertwined so that we had no alternative than to slow down, draw closer to our Lord and be still…as I see it, He prepared us for so much then and even more to come – AND that included the Covid19 pandemic.

Thank you for sharing your story. God always know how to get our attention. He uses the events in our lives to draw us closer.

Praise God for what He has done with your husband. Only God could have done that. I can only imagine how relieved you both are. It is just the beginning of what God is going to do through you both.

Lord You are the Healer! You created us from your own image. Lord, I thank you for the testimony that was shared. I also ask for complete healing of the diagnosed with invasive lobular carcinoma… Lord by your stripes we are healed. For you are no respecter of persons, what you do for one you will do for another. We thank You for the healing in Jesus’ name. Amen, Amen and Amen.

Have a bless day my friend.
