1 Corinthians 10:13 , No temptation] has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it.
Jesus was tempted just like you and me. And still we struggle with how we can over come temptation. Jesus never gave into Satan’s temptation. Jesus always spoke,” it is written,” when the devil tempted Him.
In my own personal struggles, I have said Jesus do not understand. He did not have to face what I am facing. (I spoke foolishly, and I repented of that). What I have learned is that temptation is temptation, it is not about the circumstances that we are being tempted. Surely the enemy is always going to tempt us that is the enemy’s job.
When Jesus spoke this statement in Matthew 11:29, Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.
Jesus is showing us exactly how to not give into temptation. For in that He Himself has suffered, being tempted, He is able to aid those who are tempted.” “For we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but was in all points tempted as we are, yet without sin.”
That is why He is ready to forgive; for He knows what it is like. He has been through it.
