Exodus 17:15 And Moses built an altar and called the name of it, The Lord Is My Banner.
As a Christian our banner must always be displayed. For our banner is Jehovah Nissi. Our God is our banner because we live to celebrate and honor His faithfulness to us. We remember all His deeds and His words graciously given to us in scripture.
He is Jehovah our mark of distinction. He is Jehovah our joy. God is the protector of His people. God is our banner because we are his representatives to the world, making Him visible and showing the beauty of His transforming work.
