Happy New Years’ to you! I hope you all had a great Christmas. Thank you all for all your lovely blessings. I enjoyed my time off the internet, I was able to get some much-needed rest. Today’s devotional is something that the Lord has been speaking to me about for some time. And I felt the need to share it with you guys.
For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. Isaiah 55:8
Why is it that we are constantly trying to figure things out? We become so engrossed with finding a way that we are exhausted. We can not even see straight because we are not happy until we get some reasoning or answer. This type of behavior is detrimental to our wellbeing.
God says, for my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,” declares the LORD. God never said that we are to figure it out, He never said that we are to understand it. He simply wants us to pray, seek and trust Him.
A great word for today, Desiray. I agree and it’s a trap I fall into as well at times.
Happy New Year!
Thank you Lesley. I too fall into that trap and I believe that is why the Lord kept speaking this very thing to me for some time.
Happy New Years!
Perfect for the new year when it feels important to be making plans. God knows the best plans of all!
Thank you for your comment Pastor Pete. God sure does know what our plans are. He has been speaking to me about this message for some time.
I find that I get exhausted when I struggle to figure things out, then the Holy Spirit gives us the understanding when we least expect it. Just leave it to Him. 😊
Exactly. I for one am so done with exhausting myself out over what I have no control over.
God has been dealing with me over this for some time. God knows I get a little hard head at times.
Me too, Desiray. I get to the point where it feels like my head will explode, then everything goes blank. We need to relax more and pamper ourselves. 👍
Blessings Sister and thanks for a great article i admit I’m always trying to figure things out… lord help me to let you go and figure it out for a change… Happy new year!
Amen to that sister.😃
Hello my brother. So glad you enjoyed the article. I will say this, since we are admitting how we need help in this area. God is going to help us. I believe that with all my heart.
One day we will look at something and surprise ourselves at how we did not try to figure it out.😀
Good post! I believe the pandemic has provided an opportunity for all of us to trust God more instead of trying to figure things out with our ” human wisdom”.
Happy New Year Sue. Thank you for reading my devotional today. I agree this pandemic has caused many to trust God. Even those who have never trusted Him are seeking Him.
Happy new year! Once again you are speaking to my heart; I will continue to trust in Him.
Happy New Year Zaman. That is great news sis. We are all in this together. Let’s keep each other lifted up.
Blessings to you. 💖
Happy New Year to you to, my dear Sister. I needed to hear this today as I asked the Lord what He would have me do for Him in the New Year. His plans and His timing, is always the best. During one of my Mouth fasts (that are a regular thing for me now thanks to you) God told me to draw close to Him and His Word and He will draw close to me and guide me in the ways I should go. So that’s my plan.
Praying God blesses you this new year as much as you bless each of us. VICTORIA
Amen! Such peace and calm have come as I’ve learned to stop trying to “be ready” or “make a way” or “understand what is next”. Instead, I have learned to be thankful in the moment and trust Him for the morrow. Thank you for sharing. God bless you dear.💗
Happy New Year’s Victoria! Sis it seems that this post that I wrote has touched others hearts as well. God started speaking this word to me during the pandemic. At first when I heard it, I thought it was me talking to myself. But over weeks and months of hearing it in my spirit I knew that it was the Holy Ghost and that it was a message for me.
I am so happy to hear that you are still on that mouth fast. It is funny at times how when my mind starts to wonder on things that I start thinking about how to fix it. Then within moments the Spirit will nudge me in my spirit to say, my child stop trying to figure it out.”
Again, Victoria God bless you and I know the more you draw close to Him He will draw close to you but more than that you will grow in Him. AMEN
Amen Hope, that is what we are too do. But I must be honest I am not always like that. That is why God keeps telling me to “Stop Trying to Figure it Out”
Yes, I’m still learning it too. Definitely a journey of learning. 💖
That it is. Have a joyous Sunday we are on our way to church.
Many blessings my friend! Happy Sunday. 💗
AMEN and AMEN
