Philippians 4:4 say’s Rejoice in the Lord always; and again, I say, Rejoice.
What does “Rejoice” means to you? When I look the word up in the English American dictionary it means “to feel or express great joy or happiness” we love to rejoice over great victories. We rejoice when our favorite sports team win, we rejoice over the birth of a child, we rejoice over the blessed event of a marriage. There are many things in which we rejoice in.
But can we rejoice in the moments when the dark skies are cloudy? Can we muster a little rejoicing from the depths of our soul? Can we rejoice with others when things in our lives are not so certain?
In all humanist, we cannot! It is sad but so true, for when our little world is upside down, we find it hard to be happy for someone else. But should we rain on someone else’s day all because our day seems cloudy?
God never promised us that life was going to be a rosebush and that we will walk through it easy, what He did promise is that HE will get us through. We need to realize that life is so much bigger than just us we must be involved in building people.
You and I cannot control what will happen to us, we can control how we will react to it. Take a break and start thanking God for what you have, and I guarantee you will find a reason to rejoice. Remember rejoicing is not a feeling it is an attitude of faith!
Have a Blessed Sunday, I am on my way to Church Service.
