1 Timothy 3:11 says, In the same way, the women are to be worthy of respect, not malicious talkers but temperate and trustworthy in everything.
Titus 2:3-5 says, likewise, teach the older women to be reverent in the way they live, not to be slanderers or addicted to much wine, but to teach what is good. Then they can urge the younger women to love their husbands and children, to be self-controlled and pure, to be busy at home, to be kind, and to be subject to their husbands, so that no one will malign the word of God.
As women we need to understand that all women have different values and morals. We need to understand that though we were raised differently does not make you better than the next woman. Women have been competing against one another since the beginning of time. I used to ask myself where in the world did all this stem from? I believe we do this because we see that woman as a threat. A woman who knows who she is does not see any woman as a treat.
Someone who has a bigger home, lives in a nicer neighborhood. What you do not know is that this woman is lonely and hurting because her husband is not a good man.
The woman on your job is constantly bragging and flaunting it in everyone’s face. She appears to be liked by all her peers at work. But did you know she goes home crying every night? For she would trade her life for yours at a drop of a dime.
Therefore, we cannot afford to be in competition with each other. We can not afford to tear each other down. We must build one another up. We do that by praying and showing genuine kindness towards each other.
