In May of 2011 I posted a challenge called” The 21 Day Prayer Challenge” since that time of posting this tab I have received many comments from people all over the world. Some have left their comments on the site for others to read and some have just emailed me.
When I posted this challenge I was a little reluctant because it meant that I had to put myself out on the line to be very transparent. But I knew in my heart that it was going to help others, I just didn’t know how many it would help. When you read the 21 Day Prayer Challenge you will see that the number twenty-one has no meaning, the reason I gave it twenty-one days is this, anytime we do anything over and over it becomes habit-forming.
But before I could even post this challenge the Lord had me to go through this challenge, how many of you know before you can help others you have to first experience it yourself? Well needless to say there was somethings that was happening in my home and with my family that I just didn’t like and I knew the only way to break it was praying. Now before you begin to ask me, do I pray the answer is absolutely”YES I DO.”
What God was showing me was that I needed to be very specific about what I was praying for. Prayer must become a lifestyle for us, you and I can’t afford to go a day without praying. Yes we pray for our families and ourselves but often times we don’t pray with specifics of what our families are needing or what they struggle with, and doesn’t God tell us that the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much. Fervent means to be persistence have fire and zeal behind it. AMEN
When you pray be specific God knows our needs and He want you to tell Him those needs. God also wants His children to pray daily, remember this verse “give us this day our daily bread” in other words, man does not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God. Our daily bread is the word of God. Your family needs you to stand in the gap for them.
Thank you Jesus for Prayer!
