In Romans 7:13 says, Was then that which is good made death unto me? God forbid. But sin, that it might appear sin, working death in me by that which is good; that sin by the commandment might become exceeding sinful.
It talks about people being torn between one way and another, but what really got my attention as I was reading it is when it said “Sin simply did what sin is so famous for doing, using the good as a cover to tempt me to do what would finally destroy me. Now in the NIV bible it’s says “Did that which is good, then, become death to me? By no means! But in order that sin might be recognized as sin, it produced death in me through what was good, so that through the commandment sin might become utterly sinful.
How often we fall prey to sin, how often does sin dress itself up to trick us, and then once we have tasted it, it leaves us right where we are, alone. This verse really had me thinking about the sin I have done and all the wasted time I spent doing it, and what about how sin destroys us, we know the enemy is here to do three things, kill, steal and destroy, so why aren’t we one step ahead of him? The more we stay in the word we will see what is right and what is wrong..AMEN.

Hi sister Desiray; Thanks for your great message for today. Many Blessings.. Bro Pat..
Blessing to you Brother Pat.
thanks for friendship have a good day;;;dot
This is so painfully true, Desiray–although I know I’m forgiven, my mind always takes me back to one particular night. A million times, I’ve wished I could have just that single moment back, to make the right decision. But we can’t–we have to just press forward. God bless your week–love, sis Caddo
Sister Caddo I have to say I love your transparent heart you have, there are so many things I wish I could take back and redo but now those things are under the blood. And so are yours sis, we must now move forward for we now see just how sin can destroy us. My prayer is that everyone who reads this finds strength to always repent of their sins every day.
Thank you for encouraging us to stay in His Word, dear Desiray! God bless you!
Ms. Desiray, this really touched deeply in my heart. I still find myself having to remind myself I don’t do those things anymore, you are a new creature in Christ, I praise God for His way of escape He as already made for me when those times arise! Thank you for this post sister, you are truly a blessing to the Kingdom, more than you’ll ever know:)
Thank you my sister, you know we are new in Christ those old things are passed away and though we are not exempt from sin we do at times think about what we did before, but God has given us ways to deal with it. We are to have a renewed mind and a right spirit to get us thinking like He does. May God continue to bless all you do for the Kingdom of GOD
