It's one soul at a time

Good day to everyone, today is bible study in the park today and I for one can’t wait to see what Jesus will do today in the park. Last week He did an amazing things. As of now I am down to three bibles and I am needing more I know the Lord will provide and put it on some people’s heart to make donations to the Ministry PayPal account.

Let me be honest here for a moment if I may, when the Lord called me to do this I never doubted Him what I doubted was myself, because I have always believed that the two weakest ministries within any church today was prayer and evangelizing. Let’s think about it and be honest when your church that you attend holds a prayer meeting or 24 hour prayer do you come out and attend? Now you don’t have to be honest with me but God knows the truth.

The first time I even heard of a prayer being held for 24 hours I was shocked but the first time I attended one I was in my 20′s probably late 20′s and so I went, when I got there I have to say it was only a hand full, and I was very upset. Because what that showed me the temperature of the church when it comes to praying together corporate and witnessing together.

From that time on I made  up my mind I was going to join the intercessory prayer team and I did that for years. I also saw when it’s time to evangelize many don’t come out for that either and in all honesty I was one who did not go out for evangelize because I was afraid of what people might say what questions they might ask me, that I could not answer and so I sat in my comfort zone like so many people do to this day.

But now things have changed God has taken me little by little out of my comfort zones I had and believe me He’s still working on me. I remember the first time I witness to someone my heart was racing I wasn’t sure if I was saying the right thing I didn’t even know if I reached them I was praying that they would not ask me questions that I could not answer and than one day the Lord said to me. “Desi my child witnessing is not that hard as you are making it out to be, all you have to do is tell someone what Jesus has done for you and how good He is and the moment you open your mouth I will speak the rest. And so from that day on that is how I witness to people and believe me it’s so much easier this way. What  I was doing was stressing myself out and God doesn’t want that.

And so this is why I tell people the bible is not just mere words on a paper they are actually words for life. Jesus is life and He’s the giver of life. And the bible is the book of hope. I know some people who are saved or born again which ever term you like to use, many of them don’t see handing out bibles to people as being important. But I do, let me ask you a question when you are faced with challenges and decisions that must be made and you need a comfort word “don’t you go and get your bible to find a verse or verses to stand on? Than don’t you think that other people need the same thing that you run to?

I know for a fact God’s word is not mere words on a paper I also know that some people who are born again don’t have a heart for the lost. Believe me I understand that very well, and the reason is because when I first got saved (twenty ) plus years ago I use to be like that, I would say well let someone else do it my interest was not in getting them the gospel, but how ignorant was I? I was very ignorant to think such a thing, but that is what selfishness will do for you. Instead of a person doing something when they see a need they immediately will say “someone else will do it” but that is not always true, we can’t wait til someone else does it we must do it.

I know  have never asked anyone of you to make a monetary donation gift but today I am asking you, if you see the need of giving out bibles to those who don’t have them like the homeless, the prostitute , or just a business man who don’t go to church but came to a bible study I have in the park and liked what he heard but don’t have a bible where he can go home and read what was taught in class today. He could be that one who got away all because He didn’t get a bible to show him hope.

Well I get them at  Ollie’s  not sure if you ever heard of this store but it’s a warehouse store with cheap prices, these bibles that I get are they are leather bond they have a reference section and a concordance nice large print easy on the eyes and the original price is $20.00 but they mark them down for $7.99 now I don’t know about you but $7.99 is an excellent price for a bible..AMEN . I purchase two different bibles one is New King James and the other is  King James Version.
