How many times have you heard people say that next go God is cleanliness? We heard our parents our teachers and friends say it and over the years we believed it without checking the bible to see if they was correct. When it comes to myths we must be very careful for there are so many in which we can cling on to and not know that it is not what God says..
It’s time to tackle this myth, for years people have quoted this myth and we have taken it as being scripture, when it fact is it only a myth it’s an ancient proverbs saying from other religions from witch doctors and some which we haven’t even heard of. This post modern religion and freedom religion.
Now understand this is not to beat up on you or make fun of because just like you I have heard my aunts, mother and almost every adult that I knew would say this when I was a child and so I grew up believing such a myth.
These days you don’t hear much about, but I had to check the verse out for myself not to say my mother or all those people was lying but I needed to see for myself, and when I saw for myself it’s no such bible verse then I realized that yes those people was very miss informed and that happens to us when we don’t study the bible ourselves.
Just like Satan came to Eve and twisted the word of God, Satan till comes to you and I and twists God’s word and the thing about it he never has to take the whole verse to twist it just omit one word and if you and I aren’t sure of the word we walk right into his den.
Now doesn’t it make you wonder to this day how many other myths that you heard from a child and you really thought it was scripture only to find out it is only a deception from the enemy. So you might be saying well “why are you telling me this, I can’t go back to all those myths I heard, no I don’t want you to think about all those myths, what I want you to do is anytime you hear something that does not sound right to you is to check it out in the bible.
Because whatever God has to say is in His word He hides nothing good from us. Let’s not allow ourselves to fall for such myths because myths can destroy you spiritually growth. And we are to grow everyday in GOD.
Now I get the concept in why people say this they are talking about become pure getting rid of anything in our lives that is not godly, but even in this reasoning we can’t go around making such statements as if God said it. Yes it sounds good, it even sounded good to Eve when she talked to the serpent but sounding good and what Jesus says in His word are two different things. Remember there are no grey areas with God only with MAN.
Anything that does not line up with the Word of God is Evil and evil comes from the enemy and the truth is not in them.
Satan really does love to twist words doesn’t he? I am hearing so often in my prayers lately: pay attention and that applies to this topic too. Good words today!

In the UK we say, “cleanliness is next to godliness”.
and though that is what you guys say in the UK it’s still not scripture Jesus never said those words…He said allot of things about being pure and people have turned it into that statement. And they are wrong because that is not what the bible I read says…so if anyone chooses to say it they are being deceived…There are no grey areas when it comes to God…we can’t pick and chose which verse we like or add to His word.

I never thought that phrase was ever in the bible, but I do believe it is true. Cleanliness is indeed a sign of good breeding and upbringing. About as close to godliness as you get sometimes.
That is right my dear we all heard it for many years growing up but it’s not scriptural there are other verses that talks about cleanliness but not what we been taught all those years.
