Proverbs 22:6 says” Train up a child in the way he should go; even when he is old he will not depart from it.
When it comes to our children half of the world can say they raised their kids up pretty well and then the other half can say that they didn’t do such a good job. But whatever the side of the coin you may find yourself on when it comes to raising your children always remember this even if you took them to church all the time it doesn’t mean that they will not stray away.
My parents raised all of my siblings in the church and though my father never went to church with us for some reason and I still don’t know why he made sure we went ever Sunday with mom. To me I thought church was my home I spent most of my days in church because mom was a busy woman in the church which meant we had to go.
But what do you do when you have a wayward child who strayed away from church how do you handle that knowing you raised them in church? Reason I ask this is because I know that there are parents right now who have done the right thing by their children and now they have left the faith the child is disobedient to both parents and the parents are at their wit ends..
In this world we have so many children who are hurting, lost and most of them are trying to find themselves. They aren’t sure what to do or who to listen to. Parents at times aren’t understanding what their children are saying at times. And because of this we have many parents who are screaming and literally pulling their hair out of their heads, because they just can’t seem to reach that wayward child. The one ingredient concerning your wayward child, Mom and Dad is don’t give up on your children! I know it’s hard but you gotta fight, so start today by putting on the whole armor of God and stand your ground and let the Lord fight this battle because the battle belongs to Him, what Jesus needs us as parents to do is be dressed in our battle clothes so when the enemy throws those fiery darts you can be able to stand and not fall down.
The fight ahead of you is like no other because it’s a fight to death but if you can persevere until the end your wayward child will come around. My question to you is this are you willing to die to save your child?
The reason your fight is hard is because the enemy wants your child and you have to be determine that he is not going to have your children. So get yourself prayed up, geared up and go and get what is rightfully yours. AMEN
Final message and thought: Stand strong on the verse given here because no matter how far your child or children may be gone they have to come back to God because the Word says so, and God’s word never returns to Him void it accomplishes that which it is sent out to do…rest in that assurance today.
